Marcela Antipan Olate is a media artist and researcher based in Bremen, Germany. She explores how infrastructures shape the possibilities for the movement of objects, data, and bodies, and how their material and operational conditions can serve as a starting point for artistic experimentation. By placing her own body in relation to technical objects and infrastructures, she investigates how they constrain movement, and simultaneously, generate different possibilities.

Marcela's work has been exhibited internationally at venues such as Ars Electronica, Lab.30, and the Venice Biennale Summer School. In 2024, she received the Frese-Design-Preis. Marcela has taught at the Design School of th e University of Chile and in the Digital Media Master's program at the University of the Arts Bremen. Since 2021, she is curator at the artistic research project The Dynamic Archive, and since 2026, she coordinates the Digital Media program at the University of the Arts Bremen.

Marcela is part of the duo die Primas and is currently a PhD candidate in the Binational Artistic PhD Program at the University of the Arts Bremen and Zurich University of the Arts.
